Cabling is done to offer further support for trees with structural problems or poor architecture. There are two cabling options available: Static or Dynamic and one is chosen, depending on the type of tree. Learn more about these options below or you can contact our certified arborists to help decide if cabling is appropriate for your tree.

STATIC

These steel cables are attached between two stems by drilling into each. This helps to minimize the movement of the supported stems and provide support to weak or failing attachments. More than one cable is often needed to sufficiently support the weight of the limbs.

DYNAMIC

These cables consists of woven, rope-like material that is spliced around the stems of the tree between the stems being supported. It aids in balancing their weight against each other. It also allows for more natural movement while still providing support. More than one cable may be required.

The team did an amazing job. They took down 2 trees for me one which was in the back of the property and hard to reach. When they left, everything besides the missing trees looked exactly the same as before they arrived. They left the property in great condition, almost as if they had never been there. Great job!I had some tree work I needed done for years but never did anything about it. Once I called Chop they made it easy and provided a good value.
